Implementing a drainage system with dimple sheets in underground structures

Implementing a dimple sheet drainage system in underground structures is an effective solution to protect these structures from damage caused by groundwater and moisture infiltration. Dimple sheets are polymer sheets with regular protrusions that act as a drainage layer between the wall of the structure and the surrounding soil.

In this method, the dimple sheets are first attached to the wall of the structure (e.g., a retaining wall, foundation, or tunnel wall) using Hilti nails and sealing washers. The protrusions on the dimple sheet create a void space through which seepage water can easily flow and be directed toward the water collection and drainage system.
